If you don’t have the will or the time to boil chickpeas, the canned variety will work just fine. The secret is in shelling each individual chickpea, yes it’s time consuming, but it’s worth it. It adds a finishing touch to your hummus and it will help it stand apart from the rest. We like to enjoy our hummus with fresh pita or pita chips, but if you’re feeling healthy it’s absolutely delicious with raw broccoli or carrots.
