Canada, and Quebec in particular, is becoming quite the hotbed for local, quality spirits that are sweeping awards from countries that have been producing spirits for longer than Canada has been a country!
One such spirit is the Quebec-based Quartz vodka. So what makes this vodka stand out from the rest? Like any quality product, the ingredients make the final product. Quartz uses Eska water, one of the purest water sources in the world. The water is naturally quartz-filtered. The vodka is micro-distilled five times to render an exceptionally smooth taste. And it is then cryo-treated and micro filtered through quartz. The result of all that work? Award-winning vodka!
The Divas love their gin. We make no qualms about that. But we don’t like to discriminate so we’re always open to trying new cocktails, and we’re lucky that our friends are supportive of our drinking habits. We love a slice of fresh cucumber in our gin n’ tonic, but we were game for something different. This Cucumber & Quartz cocktail showed us how cucumbers go well with vodka too!
Cucumber & Quartz
- 2 oz Quartz vodka
- 2 oz Perrier
- 4-5 Cucumber slices
- 4-5 Mint leaves
- Lime wedges
- In the bottom of a glass, crush the cucumber slices and mint leaves with a pestle
- Fill the glass with ice
- Pour in the Quartz vodka and stir
- Top with Perrier
- Squeeze in lime wedge and drop into glass
- Garnish with cucumber slice and lime wedge (optional)
