PUR Vodka: Chomedey’s Pear Cocktail

Sometimes we get spoiled. And let’s be honest, it feels very nice now and then. We attended the Oursinade et Fruits de Mer Event with PUR Vodka at the Renoir restaurant in Montreal’s Sofitel Hotel. They had signature cocktails that were paired specifically with fresh oysters and sea urchin. How could you possibly go wrong?

Nicolas Duvernois founded PUR Vodka in 2006 with a simple goal, to bring vodka back to a prestigious level. PUR Vodka is a Quebec-based product through and through, they use corn from over 100 local growers, and spring water from a private glacial spring located in northern Quebec. The vodka is then triple distilled, giving PUR Vodka the unique, crisp and clean taste that people have come to love, including the Divas, bonafide gin lovers. Once you try it, you’ll understand why they’ve won so many accolades.

Chomedey’s Double D has been a new addition to the usual cast of illustrious characters that hang around with the Divas. During a cocktail party she brought us delicious pears from her dad’s Chomedey garden. When the Divas got boozy we decided to create our own cocktail from scratch and incorporate her delectable pears. It started as a joke but the cocktail was delicious, so you should try it at home too! You know how we feel about Laval… but sometimes we play fair 😉

  • 1.5 oz PUR Vodka
  • ¼ pear
  • ½ tbsp simple syrup
  • 3 oz Fentimans Ginger Beer
  • Ice


  1. Cut pear into cubes
  2. Muddle pear with simple syrup in a glass
  3. Add ice & PUR Vodka
  4. Add Fentimans Ginger Beer and stir
