What started out as a friend commenting on Le Bec à Vin’s Instagram suggesting that we try this restaurant, turned into them naming a cocktail after the Montreal Food Divas! Le Bec à Vin’s bartender came up with this recipe and it would seem like he knows the Divas fairly well, since you know that we love gin.
We recommend eating at the restaurant and ordering the cocktail directly from Le Bec à Vin, but you may love it so much that you want to make it at home! The Suze bitters is tempered by the herbal Ungava gin. The mint gives it a refreshing burst and if you’re not a fan of soda, give it a try with tonic.
Montreal Food Divas Cocktail by Le Bec à Vin
- 1 oz Suze
- ¾ oz Ungava gin
- ½ oz simple syrup
- 3 mint leaves
- 3 oz soda
- 2 slices of lime
- 1 mint sprig
- In a shaker or large glass, muddle the mint leaves with the simple syrup
- Add the Suze, the Ungava gin and stir
- Pour into an old fashioned cocktail glass, and top with soda
- Top with the thin slices of lime and the mint sprig
