Jerry Ferrer Food Truck

Imagine our glee when we were told that the Jerry Ferrer food truck was coming to the office for a fabulous little lunchtime treat. We work in Ville St-Laurent so we’re low on marvelous lunch options in the area, everything is either a chain, or a punishment for your palate. We had already tried the Jerry Ferrer food truck at Bouffons Montreal, so we knew that we were in for a delicious lunch!

But this wasn’t the first, or even the second time that we dabbled in the Jerry Ferrer Casse-Croûte, click HERE for our review of the casse-croûte itself, they have a similar menu to their associated food truck. The Jerry Ferrer food truck menu is quite large with usual casse-croûte fare like a classic burger, pulled pork sandwich, and fish n’ chips, all prepared with Restaurant Europea, Jerome Ferrer’s gourmet touch. They also have more delectable dishes like their lobster roll in between a garlic roll bun with greens and their celery remoulade. A little too much celery remoulade and a little too little lobster for our liking, but it off a food truck after all!

The Jerry Ferrer food truck also has a Montreal RibFest poutine with BBQ ribs that are shredded in the poutine, and lathered in a homemade BBQ sauce. But our heart belongs to the Jerry poutine with their own homemade creamy sauce made with mushrooms and topped with foie gras. You cannot imagine how this decadent and creamy poutine comes together so perfectly. The Jerry Ferrer food truck also offers sweet potato fries with a truffle and porcini mayo that intrigued us but the foie gras poutine is always the winner!

When we tried the Jerry Ferrer food truck at Bouffons Montreal we kept it simple and ordered their giant smoked beef hot dog with homemade sauerkraut and Dijon.  And this isn’t some dinky hot dog, it’s big (save your comments!) and grilled for added flavour.  The sauerkraut wasn’t overpowering and there was just a hint of Dijon for bite.  And this was perfect with a side of their addictive fries.
