Bacardi Superior White Rum: Mint Berry Lemonade

Rum is synonymous with many things, especially Cuba. And rightfully so, as Santiago de Cuba is the birthplace of Bacardi Rum. Started in 1842, Bacardi Rum is the most awarded rum to date.

What makes it unique is its light taste that can easily be mixed with other ingredients without losing its light, crisp taste. One of the secret ingredients used to make Bacardi Rum more palatable and less harsh is a strain of yeast that is only found in the sugarcane fields outside of Santiago de Cuba, it is known as “La Levadura Bacardi.”

This cocktail is all about Bacardi, we use both Bacardi Superior White Rum and a Strawberry Daiquiri Bacardi Breezer for that extra touch of sweetness and berry flavour. This cocktail fuses together an adult lemonade recipe, with a mojito, perfect for those scorching summer days. We preferred using fresh raspberries, instead of strawberries, to keep things nice and tart. The Bacardi Breezer was truly a nice touch, it’s a good thing that we found one in the back of our fridge. It gave the cocktail that bright pink colour, perfect for a girls’ night!
